Today Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI), the research arm of Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), released the findings of a robust study of approximately 2,700 U.S. pregnancy centers (affiliated with national networks and/or smaller parent organizations) to calculate their extraordinary medical, education, support, and material service contributions in 2019.

Abortion Reporting: Georgia (2019)

Georgia’s 2019 abortion statistics are available in the Online Analytical Statistical Information System (OASIS). Abortions performed on Georgia residents increased from 2018 to 2019.

Abortion Reporting: Maine (2019)

Maine’s 2019 abortion report was published in July 2020 by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. The report indicates that abortions increased from 2018 to 2019.

Abortion Cases in the Higher Federal Courts

Abortion advocates contend that the United States Supreme Court is on the precipice of reversing Roe v. Wade—the conservative justices are simply waiting for the arrival of another like-minded colleague, and they may find that person in Judge Amy Coney Barrett. An honest review of recent decisions by the Court, however, simply fails to support this belief. Instead of building a case for Roe’s demise, the Court has managed to make abortion jurisprudence even murkier for legislators and lower courts trying to determine the constitutionality of abortion laws, while otherwise refusing to make substantive decisions in abortion cases.

Federal Bioethics Commissions and Bias Against the Unborn
