About the Lozier Library

The Lozier Library is a project of the Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) and exists to further CLI’s mission: to promote deeper public understanding of the value of human life, motherhood, and fatherhood; and to identify policies and practices that will protect life and serve the health and well-being of women and families. Our profound conviction is that insights available through science, law, policy, sociology, and psychology cannot help but demonstrate that every human being is “fearfully and wonderfully made.”

The Lozier Library works to provide high-quality research in service of public advocacy, legal argument, and social action. The Lozier Library is a repository of legal, medical, and scientific documents that will further the research of Charlotte Lozier Institute’s featured scholars, pro-life leaders, and other pro-life researchers and professionals.

The initial focus of our work was the scourge of abortion. Twelve research categories were identified for completion by the end of June 2021: abortion drugs; fetal pain; maternal morbidity and mortality; abortion and mental health; abortion and physical complications; abortion reporting; abortion survival and related premature survival protocols; conscience and conscientious objection; fetal anomaly; implantation and contraception modes of action; informed consent; and pregnancy help centers.

Since then, Lozier Library has expanded to 29 research categories available to users and has one more currently in development.

Each research category contains some of the best and most relevant articles in medicine and science as well as legal documents. We regularly monitor over 300 academic, scholarly, professional, and news sources to stay up to date on new articles and materials which warrant library inclusion.
