Saving Babies, One Surgery at a Time

Recently, more news articles are reporting how mothers in the United Kingdom have undergone groundbreaking fetal surgery while pregnant to repair defects in their babies before birth. The common thread in all these stories is that these babies were diagnosed prenatally with spina bifida, a severe congenital disorder in which the spinal column does not close properly during development, also known as a neural tube defect.

Charlotte Lozier Institute Announces New Communications Director

Today the Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI), the education and research arm of national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), announced the hiring of Katey Price, an attorney and political consultant, as the organization’s first communications director.

Abortion Reporting: Wisconsin (2017)

Wisconsin’s state abortion report for 2017 shows that abortions in the state increased from the previous year as a result of a new abortion center opening in 2017. State pro-life groups predict that the increase could continue in 2018.

Abortion Reporting: Iowa (2017)

Iowa’s abortion report for 2017, published online in October 2018 on the Iowa Department of Public Health website, shows that annual abortion totals are continuing to trend downward.

Abortion Reporting: Idaho (2017)

Idaho’s 2017 Induced Abortion report was published by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare in December 2018. The report shows that there was little change from the number of abortions reported in 2016.

Abortion Reporting: Alabama (2017)

Alabama’s abortion report for 2017, published in October 2018, shows that abortion totals in the state are falling. Planned Parenthood’s abortion market share has shrunk after several negative health department inspections.

South Dakota’s 2017 abortion report, published on the website of the South Dakota Department of Health in November 2018, shows that abortions in the state increased from the previous year. Some of the increase is likely attributable to a rise in chemical abortions.

Illinois’ 2017 abortion report shows that abortions reported in the state increased from the previous year. The report was published in December 2018 on the Illinois Department of Public Health website.
