Charlotte Lozier Institute Hires Nichole Wilson As Executive Director

Former Counsel to Sen. Tim Scott and Sec. Ben Carson Will Lead Dobbs-Era Science and Data Research, Combat Pro-Abortion Misinformation

Washington, D.C.Charlotte Lozier Institute, America’s premier scientific institute for pro-life issues, is pleased to announce that Nichole C. Wilson has joined the organization as executive director, replacing Stephen M. Billy, who now serves as vice president of state affairs for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.

Prior to joining Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI), Ms. Wilson served as counsel to the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging under Ranking Member Tim Scott (R-S.C.).  She also served as senior counsel at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development under Secretary Ben Carson, and as Chief Strategy Officer at Cause of Action Institute, a non-profit government oversight group that works to protect and defend individuals and companies from abusive government action.

In addition to her leadership roles on Capitol Hill, in the executive branch, and in the non-profit arena, Ms. Wilson has extensive experience as a legal researcher for three national media outlets.

As she joined the CLI team, Ms. Wilson said:

“Now that the Supreme Court has allowed ordinary Americans to find democratic consensus on abortion, it’s time to modernize our laws, and these momentous debates must be informed by the best science, data, and research.  I am excited to join the CLI team at this point in history and look forward to expanding our efforts and working with credentialed scholars, scientists, and other experts across America in recognition that life is a human right.”

CLI President Charles A. “Chuck” Donovan added:

“We are excited to welcome Nichole Wilson to our experienced and growing team.  Nichole’s impressive background in government oversight, the regulatory process, and in-depth research will be of immediate benefit as Charlotte Lozier Institute pushes back against Biden Administration efforts to ignore the science and expand access to abortion pills, which international and new domestic research show inflict higher rates of complications.

“The Dobbs decision was not the finish line for the pro-life movement.  Nichole’s leadership will be a great asset as we continue in the next chapter of standing up for the life and dignity of the unborn.”

Ms. Wilson is a native of the Philadelphia area.  She earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Drexel University, her Juris Doctor degree from Widener University’s Commonwealth Law School, and is barred in Maryland.

Charlotte Lozier Institute was launched in 2011 as the education and research arm of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America. CLI is a hub for research and public policy analysis on some of the most pressing issues facing the United States and nations around the world. The Institute is named for a feminist physician known for her commitment to the sanctity of human life and equal career and educational opportunities for women.
