Aside from the obvious harm to an unborn child’s life, abortion involves serious risks of harm to the physical, mental, and emotional health of women. High quality data on the true extent of these harms is difficult to come by since abortion reporting in the U.S. is entirely voluntary at the national level. The data we do have, however, demonstrates that these harms are very real. Thankfully, pregnancy centers across the country are coming alongside women to help them avoid or address these harms.

Planned Parenthood needs federal funding in order to support women’s health.

FACT

According to its 2023-2024 annual report, Planned Parenthood received over $1.2 billion in non-governmental revenue, and $792.2 million in government funding.
