CLI Responds to New Guttmacher Report showing Decline in Abortion Rate & Number of Abortions

We welcome the new report showing the decline in both the abortion rate and the overall number of abortions from 2011 to 2017. We simply don’t have any ability to ascertain the long-term effects germline mutation will have on future generations who inherit a mutated gene or the lack of a gene. Our focus should be on helping patients, not on designer babies."
